Product Update/Launch

During May we successfully relaunched our room deodoriser and protectant. A product that is a water-based air mist that works by killing the bacteria that cause bad odours, leaving the treated space lightly scented and hygienic. Since the re-launch, it has been selling very well.

Zoono's impact on schools during Covid-19.

We met up with Tim O'Connor,  the headmaster of Auckland Grammar School, to talk about how ZOONO® has helped him and his school return to normal after being in and out of lockdowns.

Covid-19 Delta Variant.

Since hearing about the Delta Variant, we have been pushing to get our products tested against the mutation. We have very recently received those results and can confirm that we have successfully tested against surrogates accepted for SARS-CoV-2 (including the delta variant).

New Test Results

This testing was part of the approvals process for Zoono brands in Brazil and for a product to be classified as ‘virucidal’, efficacy of > 99.99% (4 Log) is required.

These results now allow ZOONO^® to make 30 day protection claims against the Covid-19 pathogen tested.

The Below testing methodology and standards have been referenced, the Robert Koch Institute in Germany is one of the most highly regarded Virology Institutions globally.

Deals of the month

New Mumbai distributor.

We have recently added a new distributor based in Mumbai, India. Already, we have had an order of 100,000 litres that will help protect the people of India during this wave of Coronavirus. 

St Petersburg.

We have landed and cleared 2 full containers into St Petersburg. Russia is showing a lot of promise and we are making good progress there.

South Africa fruit packaging.

We have sent 54,000 litres to South Africa so that the Fruit industry can spray their corrugated cardboard packaging for fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure that the fruit doesn't rot whilst in transit to its destination. South Africa is the second-largest exporter of citrus fruits, and the results of using ZOONO^® on their packaging have been incredible so far, reducing tonnes of wasted fruit. This is very exciting as it opens up a whole new market for ZOONO^® products.

Australia

Already in 2021, we have implemented our Authorised Reseller and Authorised Service Provider programs successfully. This program is available to our active distributors/resellers, both wholesale and online, as well as commercial cleaning partners nationwide.

Our Authorised Reseller program has seen resellers continue to hold good stock levels and readily be in a position to supply their customers as demand for our ZOONO  products continues. We are currently exploring new opportunities to offer ongoing accessibility and general presence in the commercial supply space, with some very good engagement from leading companies.

Our authorised service providers have had some great success over the past 6 months, servicing clients such as:

Spotless Facilities, IKON Services, Delta FM, Woolworths, Cirka and JetStar & Qantas.

United Kingdom

We have further strengthened our relationship with Abbiati through successful UK Casino trials that have resulted in an immediate rollout to 7 casino locations across the UK. We are working with Abbiati to promote this further through their customer base across UK and Europe, combining successful trials conducted in Casinos in France.

Regular sales continue into our existing customers including London Underground and UK land Trains.

ZOONO® UK has been collaborating with a third party in establishing a unique delivery system of our product utilizing existing air conditioning systems in large buildings over the past 6 months. The concept has been proven, and successful trials have been completed with a double benefit of treating air and surfaces and is fully automated and computer-controlled.

Commercial interest in the system has been received from a large portfolio owner who owns about 150 buildings. Estimated volumes for a 5-6 story building are 300 to 500 litres per building per month. First orders have been received.

China

ZOONO^® is pleased to announce it has signed 3 new distribution agreements in China, with $10m minimum contracted sales in the next 18 months, one is the textile area, a 2^nd in hospital and medical and a 3^rd in the online sales business, more agreements are under negotiation, and the strategy of ZOONO^® having its own fully owned subsidiary company and sales team in China is paying off and, we expect China to be a significant contributor to revenue in the coming year.

Middle East

UAE we are in the process of re-registration on the ZOONO^® products due to government law changes. Fine Hygiene Holding Group who utilize our technology, have just signed a supply agreement with the Kempinski Hotel in Amman, Jordan, to protect the hotel, staff and guests. Kuwait is performing well, with a US$200k being placed in September to accommodate their next order requirements. The other countries in the region are being targeted to locate suitable distribution partners, we are working closely with the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise on this. EXPO2020 will commence on the 1^st October 2020 and runs for six months to 31^st March 2021,

ZOONO^® products are being used to protect various pavilions at this historic event.

South Africa

ZOONO^® has been trialled at a leading corrugated cardboard packaging manufacturer in SA and has now entered into a commercial arrangement, in the trials

ZOONO^® was shown to prevent black mould from growing on the cardboard, a major issue in the transportation of fresh fruit and vegetables, the black mould emits a gas that ripens the fruit prematurely. Not only is ZOONO^® being sprayed on the packaging material but also being sprayed in the shipping containers. Currently, we are continuing trials and collecting robust scientific data as the company sees this as a possible solution to an international problem, where the ZOONO^® technology intends to be at the forefront. ZOONO^® recently sold 54,000 litres to South Africa for this and other customers.

New Zealand

Sales growth has continued through existing channels and distributors in both countries, with uptake in interest from rideshare and the health sectors.

USA

Since ZOONO® assumed control of the USA business on 1^st November 2020, we have generated $1.8m in sales. We expect the USA to be a significant contributor to group revenue once we have the new EPA registration finalized. This will allow us to make Virus Claims in the USA, and we are seeking a “Kill and Protect” classification. In the meantime, we are making steady sales with our existing registered product.

France

ZOONO^® has commenced selling to customers in France, with several French multinational customers now on board. Customers include:

• Atalian France (a large facility management company);
• Keolis France (a leader in public transport - carrying three billion passengers a year and operating in 16 countries);
• Cleanysafe (a marketer of new generation cleaning and/or disinfectant products that respect the environment); and
• Major distributors and other cleaning companies (Toussaint, Lustral, Capem and Rekeep).

Testing of ZOONO^® products is also underway with other potential customers in France, including hospital and hotel groups, casinos and child nurseries.

Brazil

We are finalising our labels for Brazil and should be ready shortly. Once approved we expect a significant amount of orders. Be sure to keep an eye out for more information regarding Brazil in the near future.

Russia

Sales have been robust in the public sector industries including transport, where ZOONO® is now being rolled out to treat trains. The Russian distributors have advised they will be placing regular orders in the coming 12 months. The Russian website has also been established.

ZOONO® has now been approved and registered as a disinfectant with the Rospotrebnadzor, which is the federal service for surveillance on consumer rights protection and human wellbeing.

ZOONO^® Animal Health

US Pig farmer replaces normal sanitiser with ZOONO^® Animal with the following results.

PEDv (Porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus) was irradiated from 13 large finishing sheds on a large pig farm in the State of Iowa. 

A trial with two sheds to compare pig weights was conducted, one shed treated with Zoono Animal and the other with standard sanitiser. After six weeks the Zoono treated shed had average weights heavier by 1 kg compared the control shed.

Mortality dropped from 4.6% to .87% on Zoono treated sheds, while the non-treated sheds never reduced mortality.

Australian Pig farms

Activity in some pig barns in Australia have been completed and a well know sanitiser was compared with Zoono Animal. Parvovirus in the Microbe Shield treated barns had zero readings, but the virus was still present with the standard sanitiser treated barns. The floors of the barns were also tested and the standard sanitiser still had high virus levels and Zoono levels were Zero.

Microbe Shield has great efficacy against viruses and bacteria – APP (Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia) and E.coli also tested negative in Zoono treated barns.

In summary, the CEO of this company said “In their analysis, all data has been fantastic with no negatives!”

ZOONO® charitable actions.

We are pleased to see ZOONO® making its way to where it is needed most in Fiji.
Sharing some photos from the distribution of donated ZOONO® in Fiji by the Navy, Force Training Group (FTG), Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (3FIR), Engineers Regiment and the Logistic Support Unit (LSU).

The Republic of Fiji Military forces (RFMF) received the initial donation of 11,000 litres of Zoono® surface Sanitiser. We have also decided to send another 1,000 litres of Z71 every month. Thank you to the NZ defence force and New Zealand trade & enterprise for helping to facilitate this donation.

3,000 litres germ free hand sanitiser

The donation of Z71 products will be distributed by the republic of Fiji Military force (RFMF). It has been warmly welcomed by both the Fijian government and the RFMF. The donation builds on the close relationship ZOONO® ® has with Fiji. During 2020, the company contracted Douglas Pharmaceuticals, which employ over 100 Fijian staff.

Newsletter, we intend to produce approx. 10 of these per annum to keep our shareholders, customers and distributors informed of news in and around ZOONO^®, including significant new customers and developments, new test results and approvals, new applications of the product including new product development, staff and personnel news.
